What if I do not have a NJ Master HVACR License?

If you are not currently an active license holder, you will first need to obtain one. To get a New Jersey HVAC license, you must meet the required work experience and educational standards set by the State Board. When applying, you must provide documentation verifying that you have completed the state-mandated education and field experience, which typically includes graduating from an approved HVACR training program, completing a four-year registered apprenticeship, and working for one year as a Journeyman.

How often do I need to renew my HVACR license in New Jersey?

New Jersey Master HVACR licenses must be renewed every two years. Renewal requires completing five hours of continuing education through a Board-approved course before June 30 of every even-numbered year.

Is this course officially approved by the New Jersey HVACR Board?

Yes. The Training Center is an accredited CE sponsor with the New Jersey HVACR Board, and our renewal program meets all state requirements for continuing education.

What is the cost of the HVAC license renewal course?

The Training Center’s program costs $200, which includes everything you need to qualify for renewal. In addition, the State of New Jersey requires a $160 license renewal fee.

Can I take the renewal course online, or do I need to attend in person?

You can choose either format. The program is offered online through live webinars with recordings, or in person at our Branchburg, NJ campus. Both options provide the same CE hours and state approval.

What happens after I complete the course requirements?

After completing the five-hour training, you will receive an official certificate of completion with your license number and our CE sponsor number. This certificate verifies compliance with the NJ HVACR Board’s continuing education requirements and is valid for license renewal.

What if I do not pass the final quiz?

The competency quiz is designed to reinforce the training, and you will have additional opportunities to review and complete it successfully. Our instructors provide support to ensure every student can successfully complete the requirement and qualify for renewal.

Can I access course materials after the class ends?

Yes. Students receive ongoing access to recordings, reference materials, and resources even after the course is completed.
